GO-GO CHIC Mobile Boutique Interview
We had the great opportunity to have a photo shoot of the wonderful fashion offered by Go-Go Chic mobile boutique. I also interviewed the owner and creator of the amazing Go-Go Chic mobile boutique, the first and only mobile boutique in the south, Karla Boston. Karla is no stranger to fashion and she was already selling fashion online before Go-Go Chic was born. Although selling her fashion online was fun, Karla was looking for something different that would set her apart. A large part of the equation of this new venture, however, was that Karla recently had a baby and knew she wanted to continue to stay home to spend time with her. She started to pray to God for guidance. Karla spoke to her husband and he suggested taking her business mobile. Karla didn’t think it was possible until the very next day her husband found the truck. Karla worked her magic and now it is the cute pink truck that you see today that holds so many great fashion deals! And viola Georgia’s first mobile boutique, Go-Go Chic was born in March of 2012. Karla came up with the name of her business because she wanted something catchy. She started thinking about the person she designed the truck for and that she wanted something chic for women on the go and it hit her Go-Go Chic!! Karla’s ultimate goal was to offer children and women clothing so it could be a mother daughter business. It has grown to be much more than that because Go-Go Chic has everything for everyone. Karla looks for bargains everywhere and is always on the prowl searching for fashion that everyone will have to have and love to wear. You have to see all that Karla has to offer! I was so excited when I got to see the most adorable little dress that my daughter could fit. Go-Go Chic was designed to be creative and different and has become the ultimate unique shopping experience. Ideally, Karla wanted people in downtown Atlanta, around the CNN and the World of Coca-Cola, to be able to come out grab some lunch and do a little shopping. So many people can see the truck with its pink damask design, which is quite amazing, and gives it so much exposure at the same time! I must say when you see this truck you will not be able to take your eyes off of it. There is no wonder Karla has such a huge following. The secret to Go-Go Chic’s mobile truck is that they are not locked to a brick and mortar building. Karla does not have to pay rent to a building and hope that people walk by during business hours. If one area is not working then the truck can be in a different area the next day. People even follow the Go-Go Chic truck off of the freeway to shop. The truck is never closed. Karla has a client that gets off at midnight and Karla brings the boutique to her so she can shop at midnight. Go-Go chic also does events, goes to churches and even college campuses. Karla loves taking the Go-Go Chic truck to different colleges. The Go-Go Chic business inspires the campus students. They love that Karla is a young business owner, and even better, they can afford the clothes!!! Go Go Chic’s most successful form of advertising is Instagram (@gogochicatl). Go-Go Chic offers specials and promotions all of the time. Currently, they are offering a text campaign where you just text 90210 to GogoChic. If you show the text at checkout, you receive $5 off your purchases. And on top of that you will also be entered in a contest where every 100th customer will receive a $100 gift card. Go-Go Chic is a work in progress. There are new updates to the business everyday. In the future Go-Go chic is in process of expanding and possibly franchising so that the focus can be where it belongs, on shopping. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Go-Go chic. After our photo shoot the models got to shop on the truck and they had so much fun. This business is ingenuous and once you meet Karla it will all make sense. Go check out Go-Go Chic today.
